The main theme of the year is "Measurement and Control: Creating the Future of the Earth". For visitors' convenience, the venue is divided into five different zones, namely, 'Electric, Electronics, Communications and Related Products/Services', 'Control (PA/FA)', 'Environment Analysis and Energy', 'Sensors and Field Equipment' and 'JEMIMA Committee and Related Organizations'. De huidige standaards IEC61508 en 61511 eisen dat U competent bent om de taken uit te voeren waarvoor U verantwoordelijk bent in de functional safety lifecycle. S3 biedt U met dit functional safety program een mogelijkheid aan om uw kennis verder uit te diepen en te evalueren. Een positieve evaluatie levert U een officieel TÜV-certificaat op waarmee U uw kennis en kunde kan aantonen.
Deze workshop is onder andere gericht voor iedereen die te maken heeft met instrumentele beveiligingsinrichtingen een gedegen opleiding te bieden rond functionele veiligheid, de huidige standaards en hun eisen. Verder worden tools, technieken en methodologiën uitgezet die U kunnen helpen om te gaan me deze standaards. De cursus wordt gegeven door een TÜV Functional Safety Expert met wereldwijde ervaring.
