About Me (Bio): Stein Hauge has worked in the area of safety and reliability engineering for more than 18 years. He worked in Aker Engineering from 1990-1997 and is currently working as a Senior Safety Advisor at SINTEF, Dept of Safety and Reliability. He has a MSc. Eng. in Industrial Mathematics from The Norwegian Institute of Technology and a M.Sc. in Operational Research from Strathclyde Business School. For the last 5 years he has been project manager for the multi-client research project "Reliability and Availability of Computer-based Process Safety Systems” (PDS).
