About Me (Bio): Mr. Al-Ghumgham has a BSc in chemical engineering and an MSc in Control & Automation of Systems Engineering both from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM). Currently he is involved in the PhD Research Program of Brunel University, England. The topic of his PhD research is Failure Detection and Isolation (FDI) in Dynamical Systems. The objective is to detect abrupt and/or incipient faults in order to reduce the risk and damage exposure to people, the environment and equipment. Since 1992 he is working for the Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Company (SAFCO). Within SAFCO he has held the positions of Supervisor Instrumentation & Control Systems and Senior Instrument Engineer for DCS systems. His main areas of interest are Measurement, Instrumentation & Control System, Systems Engineering, Failure Detection and Isolation in Dynamical Systems, Neural Networks.
