You will assist the Safety Engineering Lead with all safety related requirements on a major Rail Management System Projects – including safety analysis, documentation, independent verification, certification and associated deliverables. 
 
With at least 5 years experience in a safety-related Engineering role and experience in Rail (essential), your role as Senior Safety Engineer - Contractor will appeal to your outcome focused approach and tap into your experience with working with both internal and external stakeholders and team members along with your ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks which have competing demands.
 

Job Qualifications
Further to this, to be successful in this role you will also be able to demonstrate the following: 
  • The ability to analyse safety requirements, mitigate impact and define outcomes in Safety reports and documentation   
  • A comprehensive working knowledge of CENELEC standards (EN50126, EN 50128, EN 50129) essential  
  • A solid understanding of System and Safety Engineering  
  • Demonstrated achievement of delivery of safety critical systems  
  • Experience in constructing Fault Tree and Hazard Log documentation essential  
Your demonstrated teamwork skills, planning and organisation skills and an ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels; combined with excellent communications skills – both verbal and written, will complement your natural strong problem-solving, negotiation and influencing skills; successfully rounding off your ideal match for this role.  

You will have full residency status and unrestricted ability to work in Australia and will have Tertiary qualifications in a relevant System Engineering and/or Safety discipline and/or relevant experience. 
There is a competitive remuneration offered with a highly-experienced candidate able to negotiate a superior Base Salary and Super package.
