The Risknowlogy Functional Safety Certification Course (FSCC) was developed for functional safety professionals and engineers dealing with safety systems. Safety system professionals receive a 4 day course, including exam, which can lead to TUV SUD certification when the strict eligibility requirements are met. Participants wanting to register for trainings of the TUV Functional Safety Certification Program must have a minimum of 6 years experience in the field of functional safety. A BA, MS or PHD degree gives experience credit.
The training course is presented over four days. The first three days of instruction are taught in a classroom setting and will provide participants with practical examples of theoretical details, accident videos, and practical case studies for understanding and mastering the requirements on functional safety. On the last day, applicants must pass a two-part examination with a minimum score of 75 percent.
Certificates will be issued by TÜV SÜD, the market leader in functional safety, upon verification of eligibility and review of final exam documents. Successful participants will also receive a corresponding identification number and may use the TÜV logo on their business cards. Successful candidates will be listed on the TUV SUD website.
